Judas Priest is bringing more metal to FMBA. Noted as “The Metal Masters Tour” They’ll be rolling in with Heaven and Hell, Motorhead, and Testament.

So from this point on, I hope no one has plans on “Breaking the Law” because the “Mob rules”

Crüe Fest 2008

You heard it, Mötley Crüe, will be coming with a few friends. Their new album “Saints of Los Angles” will be out this summer. This will mark the first album featuring original band members in ten years.

Touring with the Crüe will also be.

Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M., and Trapt

Box Office Operations Intern- FMBA/Live Nation Chicago

Position:        2008 Box Office Operations Intern / First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre / Live Nation Chicago 

Summer internships are available to hard-working, responsible individuals.  This internship is designed to offer students hands-on box office operations experience in the concert and entertainment industry at one of Live Nation’s largest amphitheatres, First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. 

Responsibilities:

 While interacting with the Regional Director of Ticketing and box office team leaders, the Intern will be responsible for participating in:
·   Assisting with box office staff scheduling, hiring and training
·   Reporting and distribution of daily ticket counts
·   Verification of venue manifests
·   Coordinating VIP season ticket distribution
·   Processing of VIP and general ticket orders
·   Processing window sales
·   Daily sales accounting
·   Ticket stock tracking
·   Assist in event building
·   Regular office duties (i.e. filing, answering phones, etc)

 Requirements:

Summer interns must commit to a minimum of 20-30 hours per week working in the box office at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre with the possibility of occasionally working in our downtown Chicago office when needed.  In addition, interns will be required to work evenings and weekends at Live Nation events at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.

 Previous box office/Ticketmaster experience preferred, but not required. Summer Internships run from the middle of May through the middle of August. (Possibly earlier or later depending on Intern Flexibility)  Having reliable ground transportation to First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL is required. 

Compensation:  

This is an un-paid internship which will allow you as a student to retain better knowledge of the entertainment industry while having the opportunity to network and gain experience in the field!

Sponsorship Intern

The Live Nation – CHICAGO Sponsorship Department is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the very heart of the entertainment industry!  As an intern, you would be involved in various aspects of sponsorship for three venues in Chicago and the surrounding area; Alpine Valley Music Theatre, Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island, and the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. 

This position will include involvement with:
·         Assisting Sales Staff
·         Fulfillment of Sponsor agreements
·         Implementing Sponsor promotions
·         Coordinating ticket orders
·         Work in conjunction with marketing to compile media packages
·         Tracking Sponsor and venue media coverage
·         Recapping client investments
·         Internet Research
·         Administrative duties

This is a great internship opportunity in the Entertainment/Sponsorship field.  We are currently searching for a qualified individual to fill this internship position for the Summer Semester.  The student will work at our Live Nation office in downtown Chicago and at the venues listed above on show days.

This internship is for college credit and runs from May to August/September.  It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (minimum 20 per week) to reflect the need of your college credit requirements.

·   Online research for operation
